A manufacturer in the defence sector received an urgent request for shields to be used by the border police, but was unable to source the finished shields from its usual supplier within the required timescale and budget. 

As a result, the customer turned to Zweko, asking whether we could form the necessary polycarbonate in just six weeks. Our team instantly took on the challenge and delivered a prototype for validation by the customer within one week. In the meantime, we ordered the necessary sheet materials and manufactured the production tools.

Following approval by the end customer, Zweko immediately started production, delivering hundreds of shields within just a handful of weeks.
